Besides questions of fear, many people are also wondering what we are doing with our homes? Will you keep them? Have you sold them? Where will you live if you come back? Etc.
We are in such a different place today then when we bought our homes.
We consider our home not of this world. Our heavenly home is worth sacrificing everything for, not any earthly materials.
Lay not for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and dust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there will be your heart also. Matt 6:19-21.
Our treasure is not in a home that the bank owns that we call ours. It is the prize where there is no pain, suffering, death, or disease. We have a goal to be in our home soon. But we know that it requires a particular character, heart and health to receive a key. We must make the sacrifice for the one who sacrificed for us and who has promised us eternity if we would just take up the cross.
We visited a church last week and the pastor spoke of lifes many traps. The question that came to mind was how many of us are in a trap and are unaware?!? Sometimes to lure something in a trap the enemy places something alluring to the target. If the trapper is cunning the allurements may be so enticing that the prey may take a long time or until it is too late to realize that they are in the enemies clutches.
